Logging email to the Email section when it is sent from within salesforce.com

When you send emails from within salesforce.com they often are not logged to iHance's Email object. This can mean that emails sent from within salesforce.com are logged in one place and emails sent/received from your email client are logged in another. The good news is that it is easy to get emails sent from salesforce.com logged into our email object.

There are two ways to accomplish this.

The first way is to set your Compliance Archiving service to forward email to your "standard" iHance logging email address. This method is an organization wide setting. First go get your standard logging address. To find your standard logging address in salesforce.com -

Next copy the email address that starts with "standard", we are going to paste it into your Compliance Archiving setting.

Next set your Compliance Archiving to forward to the email address you just copied. Go to Setup in Salesforce.com.

Then navigate to Compliance Archiving and paste in the iHance email address.

The second way to accomplish this is to have each user autobcc themselves. Have them go to their Setup in salesforce.com

Then have then change their setting to automatically BCC emails to their return address.

Note: This will cause one copy of the email to log to Activities and one copy to our Email object. There is no way to avoid this.
